Philosophers tell us that man by nature is selfish. Selfishness is a condition where one becomes egocentric i.e. when one only thinks and does what can benefit oneself. There are 9L0-402 practice examsome elements of selfishness in every man but what matters is the degree. When the selfishness affects the progress of others then it becomes a problem.
The society is a collection of human beings, so the growth of any society depends on the interaction among the people who make up such society. Most times, people tend to drag developmental processes backwards through their selfish lifestyles. Take for instance the under-developed countries of this world. Most of them have what it takes to overtake the developed countries but everyday all their developmental strategies seem to drag them back to under-development. Then one begins to wonder why it is so? This is mainly caused by corruption and the failure of the leadership to think beyond self. Most of the leaders seek leadership not to solve the people's problems but to amass wealth for themselves and their cronies. Imagine a scenario where one person steals over a billion US dollars that is supposed to take care of the needs of millions of people thereby leaving them impoverished and dejected. The irony is that the people who do this fail to understand that they may not be the ones to spend the money.9L0-402 practice exam Even the ones who do understand cannot change because "greediness is the first fruit of selfishness". What of the armed robbers, "pen robbers" and all those who make money at the expense of others? They all subject their fellow humans to untold hardships in order to achieve their personal motives.
Selfishness as it stands is truly man's nature. It can be positive when it serves as a drive for success. When one strives to succeed by out-smarting others positively to achieve one's aim, then we can say that this kind of selfishness can be tolerated. But when one jeopardizes the chances of others for survival then it becomes abnormal. It is very encouraging and progressive for people to be altruistic, because it is only personal sacrifices that can solve most of the societal problems we are experiencing today. Consider soldiers who even when know what may befall them still go ahead to enlist into the army, and some of them definitely pay the ultimate prices to save others.
The world will be a better place when we start to live for others. Let us understand that "I" and "we" are inseparable, that "I" can neither exist nor survive without the "we" and vice versa. Let us begin to think 510-025how we can lend a helping hand to the needy. When everybody helps everybody else, then no challenge or problem will be insurmountable. Collectivism will reduce most of the worlds problems.
